A comparison of iPhone 5, Droid Bionic, and Galaxy S2
After 8 months from the first announcement, Motorola Droid Bionic has been appeared. In US, this phone costs $299 with 2-year Verizon contract or $599 for international version. The three smartphones, Apple iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S2, and Motorola Droid Bionic, will create a war in the smartphone market.
Droid Bionic is a 4G LTE smartphone and powered by dual-core processor 1 GHz, 1GB RAM, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS, HD 4.3” screen, 2 cameras, Adobe Flash, and 32GB storage. This phone is integrated with Zumocast cloud service that allows users to upload and share video, music, and photos easily.
Before coming to US in Sept, more than 5 millions of Galaxy S2 phones were sold in 85 days in Europe and Asia. This smartphone is the best-seller of Samsung ever.
iPhone 5 hasn’t been introduced yet. Based on some sources from Internet, this phone will be powered by iOS 5, A5 processor which is used in iPad 2, better cameras (8MP, HD video, FaceTime) and slimmer than iPhone 4.
OS: Motorola Droid Bionic and Samsung Galaxy S2 use Android 2.3.4 (now can be updated to 2.3.5) whereas iPhone 5 runs iOS 5. iOS 5 will have more than 200 new features (Improved Notification System, News Stand, iMessage, etc.) compared to iOS 4.
Camera: Droid Bionic has an auto-focus 8MP camera with flash. It can capture HD 1080p video, the front camera is used to chat via 4G LTE, 3G, or wifi. Samsung Galaxy S2 has an auto-focus 8MP camera in the back. iPhone 5 may also have a 8MP camera.

Screen: Droid Bionic has 4.3” (960x540) screen whereas Galaxy S2 has Super AMOLED 4.3” (800x480) and iPhone 5 has 4” retina screen. The Quantum Dot LED technology may be used in iPhone 5 to save energy.
Processor: dual-core processor 1 GHz for Droid Bionic, dual-core 1.2 GHz for Samsung Galaxy, and A5 dual-core 1.2-1.5 GHz for iPhone 5.
Size: Motorola Droid Bionic: 127 x 66.9 x 10.99 mm, 158g; Samsung Galaxy S2: 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm, 116g; iPhone 5 (based on sources from internet): 109 x 60 mm (iPhone 4: 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm), 137g.
Storage: Motorola Droid Bionic: 16GB built-in + 16GB external microSD = 32GB; Galaxy S2: 16 GB built-in and can be extended to 32GB using microSD. Both phones has 1GB RAM. iPhone 5 will have 3 versions 16/32/64 GB.
Battery: Droid Bionic has a standard battery 1735 mAh (~650min for phone calls and 200hour waiting time). Galaxy S2 has Lion-battery 1650 mAh (540min and 576hour for phone calls and waiting, respectively). The battery of iPhone 5 may be better than that of iPhone 4 (1420 mAh).
Price: $299 with 2-year Verizon contact for Droid Bionic, $199 and 2-year Sprint contact and $200-$300 and 2-year AT&T contact for Galaxy S2. iPhone may be cost $300-$350 from network companies.

Samsung galaxy s2 is better than iphone 5 due to all its smart features and it has all the latest android os.
