Windows 8 was introduced and allowed to download
Microsoft just introduced their upcoming OS, Windows 8, at BUILD conference in California. This new Windows is completely redesigned and can run on both PCs and tablets.
Although the Developer Preview version is released for developers but you can download pre-beta version of this Windows freely at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/br229516
The biggest change of this new version is the interface. This interface is optimized for using in tablets’ touch screens. It has new desktop:
The interface is also designed for high resolution wide-screen (16:9). Windows 8 allows developers to develop apps that can sync data among devices or access Windows Store easily.

In this conference, many Windows 8 based PCs and tablets were also introduced. As expected, tablets that use Windows 8 are powered by ARM processors. Windows 8 will be available next year.
