Download and view your Facebook data offline
For many people, Facebook is an online diary that stores information, status, images, and videos. This post will show you how to download your Facebook data to backup and view offline.
First, you need to login to your Facebook account and choose “Account” > “Account Settings” > “Download a copy” in “Download a copy of your Facebook data”. In the next page, click on “Start My Archive” > “Start My Archive” to confirm.
Click OK on the message “You will receive an email when your archive is ready for download”. You now wait for the email from Facebook. The processing time depends on your data size. With 25MB data, it may take an hour.
After receiving the email for downloading data. Input your Facebook password and choose “Continue” > “Download Archive” to download.
You downloaded data will be store in a .zip file. To view the contents, unzip it and open file “index.html”. You can read your status in Wall tab, view photos in Photos tab, view your message in Massages tab, and see your friends in Friends tab. However, the interface of the offline web is rather easy and not as good as the online version.
