NiceCopier–a good alternative copy/move for Windows 7
The default copy/move functions (Windows Explorer) in Windows 7 are very slow. Using NiceCopier will help you save time for copying or moving files. NiceCopier is a open source and free software. This software provides some useful features, such as pause, resume, and high speed copy/move. You can download a free version at:
After downloading and decompressing, you can activate this program without installing it. Note that in Windows 7, you need to run it with as Administrator. The program will be displayed on the toolbar. Right click on the program and choose Install ShellExtension to embed it into the system.
The copy/move of Windows are now replaced by copy/move of NiceCopier. In copy/move progress, you can click on ‘X’ to pause and ‘Play’ to continue copying/moving data.
